I started as a software developer, then spent 15 years at EXL Analytics building AI and NLP solutions for complex, unstructured documents. First in insurance pricing, marketing, operations. Then claims litigation. Then contracts.
A pattern emerged: despite billions invested in technology, lawyers still struggled with the basics. Drafting. Reviewing. Negotiating. The tools were too complex, too expensive, and overloaded with features no one needed.
As generative AI revolution was kicking in, I saw an opportunity to fix this. Collaborated corporate lawyers to build ContractKen - a sidekick for their contract work, inside Microsoft Word.
No bloated features. No steep learning curves. Just powerful, practical AI built by people who understand the work.
