Backend Engineer at ContractKen

We are building world's best copilot for contracts, inside Microsoft Word.

Candidate should have worked in startups, possess strong programming skills in Python, displays a sense of ownership and is highly energetic and eager to learn state of the art tech and ML.

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience needed

(* 2022 pass outs, please apply only if you have atleast 2 relevant internships prior to full time employment)

Representative (not exhaustive) responsibilities:

• Tackle unsolved product and engineering problems - (some of them related to LLMs in production - the hardest in the world)
• Help build our engineering organization
• Assess the current design and infrastructure of backend server, and continuously implement enhancements to make the systems more robust, reliable and responsive
• Enhance back end functionality and integrate with front end to deliver a fully functional product
• Design new data pipelines to enable production deployment of new models
• Mentor junior employees and interns in the company
• Be ready to roll up the sleeves and participate in customer calls, understand our ICP well, do research around product features, etc.

• Examples: complex enterprise products with slick UX (Docusign, Stripe, Chargebee), etc.
• Experience with AI, LLMs, or legal is not required.

Focus / skill distribution

• Your focus should be backend heavy - but some generality and ability to move across the stack is required
• Experience with UI/UX and product design is very helpful
